Lincoln Property Founder Mack Pogue Dies at 89



Lincoln Property Firm founder Mack Pogue died earlier this month on the age of 89. 

The well-known Dallas developer was born in Sulphur Springs in 1934. Between 1955 and 1957, he served within the U.S. Military in Korea. Upon his return, he graduated from Texas Tech College in 1959. 

Pogue received his begin in actual property as a dealer with Majors and Majors in Dallas in 1961. He fashioned Lincoln Property Firm in 1965 in partnership together with his mentor, Dallas developer Trammell Crow. Pogue purchased out Crow’s share of the corporate in 1977. 

As chairman of Lincoln for greater than 50 years, Pogue grew the operation into a world firm with 35 workplaces around the globe. At the moment, Lincoln’s mixed administration and leasing portfolio contains greater than half a billion sq. toes of business house.

The corporate beforehand owned a 49 % stake in Lincoln Property’s condo improvement.     

Lincoln continues to develop industrial properties in North Texas and across the nation. 

Pogue leaves behind his spouse of 64 years, Jean Pogue; brother Jack; sons Blake and Blair; 9 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. His son Brent died at age 54 in 2019.
